Acorn Community Banking Great Company

Excellent customer Service, always happy to help and always have the answers to my questions. The loan service provided is better than most UK banks, and now with the added feature of creating a separate savings pot alongside paying off your loan is a great incentive. Reviewed on: 7th April 2026

Good way to get a loan

Having a loan against my child benefit is really easy and grate way for me to manage my money without worrying about remembering to pay the bill each week the money taken straight from my child benefit and rest given back to me over all I would have struggled to save a lump sum to pay for holiday ect this gave me the deposit so I could Reviewed on: 22nd March 2026

I do NOT recommend!!!

My company’s Credit Union was merged with Acorn Community Bank, and we were assured that everything would remain as smooth and straightforward as before. What a surprise I had when I applied for a small loan! They carried out a hard credit check and bombarded me with what felt like hundreds of intrusive questions—as if I were applying for something far more serious than £300. The whole experience made me feel like a criminal rather than a customer. I’ll be avoiding this bank as much as possible from now on, and I certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone.
