The insurance itself is fine and is big standard car insurance, the only element of admiral that frustrated me every year is the way they always send a much higher renewal quote even though we haven't claimed or have ever claimed. If you don't phone then this adutomatically renews which means you are being ripped off. I hate the fact I have to play a cat and mouse game with them over price, even after being a customer for 8 years. Last time they tried to up my £380 to £590'but only lowered it to £243 after I provided a quote from the AA. This to me is inadequate service and an unnecessary burden to loyal customers. Convenient and great incentives

The lady who dealt with setting up my policy was incredible. She was extremely helpful and whilst she offered other products was not pushy at all. I ended up getting an awesome deal on my home insurance as well (£9 per year). Really impressed - let's see if they are as open when it comes to renewal... Reviewed on: 6th September 2017

Great value for money but disorganised!

I renewed my multi-car policy and changed my payment card details at the same time. When it came to the renewal date, the premium was taken from my previous card details so I called Admiral, they refunded the premium and said they would call me in 2 weeks to make sure I had got the refund and to take my payment. Except that 2 weeks later their automated system took the premium - again from the previous card details! This time they refused to refund the payment as their accounts department wasn't open (and wouldn't leave them a message to correct their mistake) and said I had to tell my bank to refuse the payment! I saved money on my car insurance but not my bank balance! Reviewed on: 6th September 2017
