Awful

Had a renewal quote on Friday which was 43% higher than the previous year. I called to see if they can do anything about it but they could almost do nothing. As it was 43% higher, I wanted to shop around to find if there was cheaper option. They give me 2 days to decide. I decided to stay with them, however, upon calling them today, they said that my contract was cancelled and they gave me a new quote that was over £2k more than even the previous renewal quote. None of this was mentioned to me when extending the contract. In fact, I was told that I could renew it on Monday but apparently the advisor made a mistake and it was until the end of Sunday. ..When spoken to the customer advisor, she said she was in the new business department vs renewals as if it is my responsibility to know their organisational structure. Customer service was not helpful at all, very defensive. Reviewed on: 11th September 2023

Paid out a claim and did not tell me

Admiral paid out for a claim, for damage I didn’t cause and didn’t tell me. Told if there is a 1% chance I caused the damage, they were going to pay. Told the claim wasn’t going through, 2 months later I call back (they never reached out to me) to find out it was processed and it’s past 60 days so nothing I can do. Terrible experience. Been a customer for a while, happy to take money but when something goes wrong, they don’t care. Reviewed on: 7th September 2023

Would like to give no stars

I was side swiped by another Admiral insured driver. They admitted liability immediately and my car was repaired in spring and Admiral paid in full. All good so far, except Admiral left the claim as unsettled until 10 hrs before my policy was due to expire (5 months later). This means I was showing as the fault driver on the database all insurers use and unable to get reasonable quotes. I found this out only by discussing with a broker. Shameful, would not recommend. No feedback, lazy incompetent personel - Do not use

Side swiped by another driver so a no fault claim. But, the other person is also insured with Admiral so they just dont want to pay. They 'lost' the photos i uploaded but then did not bother to tell me and instead just let the claim sit there hoping i'll go away i guess. Reviewed on: 5th September 2023

Great insurance company but forever increasing in price

I have been with admiral for years and their multi cover is great for my house and car together, however their car insurance price could be better. Customer service are always lovely and very helpful and will always talk you through your options. I used to have to cancel my policy to get new customer prices and advise you never to autorenew - sadly Admiral will always try and overcharge you even though you're a loyal customer.
