Savings by changing insurance companies

We are a retired couple and always used a well known major insurance company and were loyal customers for many many years for insurance our car, buildings and contents insurances. The prices we were paying just seemed to get more expensive as the years went on until I tried a price comparison online and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of savings made by changing to Admiral for the same cover as we had with the company we were with I actually called the company I was with and after 30 years as a customer with no claims all they offered me was a discount of £10.00 over the year so changing to Amazon was a no brainer and when our car insurance is due we would certainly give them first option. Outstanding level of cover at a very competitive price.

Having compared home insurance renewal on the comparison sites Admiral came out as the best value for cover and price. In addition, their electronic system was clear, efficient and so straightforward we were covered within minutes. Very efficient set up to obtain policy documents online and confirmation emails made us feel safely covered immediately. Prompt service in a crisis.

One Saturday afternoon, while expecting visitors, my hot water tank sprung a leek, flooding the toilet from above. It was a panic 'think think' moment, however, after contacting Admiral my Home insurance company, an emergency plumber was with me within 25 minutes and turned off the water supply to the tank, which required a specialist tool, I hand no idea of the valves location, although I have been in the house for 28 years, the tank was 50 years old, so it lasted since the house was built. Because of the prompt action of my insurance company dispatching an emergency plumber on a Saturday afternoon, the water damage to our property was minimal. Thank you. Reviewed on: 21st August 2019
