DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF I COULD GIVE MINUS STARS I WOULD DO. FALSE ADVERTISING ON THEIR WEBSITE AND NOTHING RECEIVED FROM THEM OTHER THAN A COMPUTER PRINT OUT WHICH TELLS ME THEY HAVE RECEIVED THE MONEY I AM OWED BUT NOTHING FROM THEM AND NOTHING IS THE SERVICE RECEIVED FROM THIS COMPANY, PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS WHO DELIVER AN UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND ONLY HAVE ONE DIRECTOR IN THE COMPANY WHICH WAS INCORPORATED IN FEBRUARY 2025 !!!!!! I have never been treated so badly by a company. It is bad enough that a company did not pay for all the services I offered but it is worse that ARE YOU OWED MONEY received my monies and have not paid this out to me. I send emails to customer service, I phone them no answer. Quick enough to take the case at the beginning but no service once they RECEIVED THE MONEY I WAS OWED. . I now email them daily and try to get someone on the phone (not a chance). I still have not got any money or answers to my complaint. They do not even follow their own complaints procedure and just ignore you so use another company or go through small claims court at least you would have something to show for the work that you do. DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND EVEN ON COMPANY HOUSE HAVE HAD TO START A NEW BUSINESS THIS YEAR SHOCKING SHOCKING , SHOCKING. Reviewed on: 6th May 2025

Haven’t paid debt recovered

Collected debt but haven’t paid out, 9 months since saying debt had been paid by the debtor. Didn’t tell us it had been paid, we contacted them and they said we’d hear from the financial department. Passed around between departments and no longer receiving contact. Reviewed on: 25th April 2025

Avoid at all costs

Sadly a very poor experience. Despite collecting in all the money from our customer, they are yet to finish paying over the amount to us. Will not respond to emails or phone calls. Avoid these people at all cost, they will keep your money. Case AY-5159-4587 Reviewed on: 9th April 2025

Debt recovered by them and now they have closed my case

They received the debt recovery money, notified me it had been collected. They then closed the case without payment and when i called up for an updated they passed me around from one department to another until they told me to contact the customer support via email. This was 3 months ago and I've not heard from anyone since. They know what they are doing by not replying and judging by what ive now read about them doing the exact same thing to arguably hundreds of other people its fair to say you shouldn't use them. This organisation should be banned from trading

Have been awaiting a response from AYOM's I have been chasing them for several months and they cannot be bothered to reply. I've not received any of the money that is owed to me despite my debtor having paid the full amount back in April 24 nor have I had any kind of response or update. Given the number of people posting ta similar response I'm surprised the newspapers haven't picked up on this scam have given them to the end of the year to respond then its off to small claims court. Would be nice to just see them pay up for the money I'm owed. End of the day they have charged me for the privilege and held my funds for 8 months gaining interest. I wouldn't use them again. Despite taking them to small claims court and arranging for mediation they don't bother turning up even though they admit they have my money. Now it goes to Court to get what they owe me absolutely terrible to deal with please if you have any sense you would not use this company. This organisation should be banned from trading despite confirming on court papers that they owe me the money they have still not sent the cheque when you chase they say email your issue in and someone will get back to you because we are so busy. Their debt recovery side is very good but it would be as this company is collecting your money, but not for you, rather for themselves! AYOM collected over £5,000 for us on 8th August 2024 and as of today we have not seen a penny of it. First they will tell you their repayment terms are 60 days, they they will tell you it can be 90. This is if you can get hold of their 'Customer Service' team which you will struggle to do. DO NOT USE AYOM, they are a scam company. Reviewed on: 21st January 2025

Being scammed?

Two years ago I had a problem with a tenant not paying her rent. Long story short she ended up owing me around £1250. In trying to find a solution I came across Are You Owed Money and after a very helpful phone call signed up with the promise that if they recovered my money they'd also tag on the fee to the debtor so I wouldn't be out of pocket there either. Fast forward some months and they eventually got the debtor to pay up with a payment scheme. And that's where my problems started. I thought - mistakenly - that I'd simply get paid when they did. However they needed to go beyond a claw back period to ensure AYOM didn't pay me only for the debtor to claim it back. Fair enough. But then because the debtor was paying by card that could be around 180 days. Okayyyy. So I waited patiently for the instalments to start coming in. And I waited. And waited. Despite many phone calls and emails around 7 months from the first instalment I have received £0. Whilst AYOM confirmed they'd received £2k (they obviously bump the amount up significantly to cover their costs) they have yet to remit a penny. I've got no indication when or even if they will ever pay me my own money back. It's an ingenious scam it appears. You provide the debtor, you pay them to recoup the money, they get it back and keep it. Please don't fall for it. Reviewed on: 9th January 2025
