Couldn't sign up cos I have no debts

Spent days researching. Signed in and set up account ok but then told owing to a thin credit file my application was declined. Even though I was looking to put money in not take it out. Asked to have my data removed but told they can't do that for 6 years even though I got declined. Staggering. Reviewed on: 11th November 2018

Unable to log in to app so can't access account

Like many other people, I have tried to log in and keep getting that "This shouldn't have happened" message. I rang the bank and a very helpful person tried to get me logged in, then took me through clearing data, then adding my device, then deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing helped. She has sent my problem to the IT department and said it might take up to two days for them to contact me. This is extremely poor and frustrating. Reason enough to close my account when it matures and not open any more with Atom Bank. Disappointing. Reviewed on: 10th October 2018

Still issues with App & advice

As other reviews mentioned, the app is poorly designed. If you can’t log in, it ask you to try again, and again, and again. No further advice ever appears. There is a help button that gives the customer service telephone number. They told me that they cannot help until there system can see you have failed to log in. So they stayed on the line while I tried another 5 times to log in, but they couldn’t see it in their system, so they said they have to investigate further. Reviewed on: 1st August 2018

Opening account with Samsung Note 4

The first time I attempted to open the account the app got stuck on checking my voice recording and I had to force the app to close. Tried again the following morning and everything worked, even on my old phone. Reviewed on: 15th June 2018

Declined Application

Just tried to open an account and my wife has been declined. Apparently they cannot verify her details yet we have lived at the address for just under 20 years. It sound like she has no credit history so I guess if she had huge debts she would have been accepted. But on the other hand there wouldn't have been 80k to invest! Reviewed on: 30th May 2018

Refusing to return my savings

I have a Moto G phone, one of the few on the permitted list. I managed to log in with the app after 3 or 4 attempts. 6 months later Atom updated the app and it stopped working. I phoned them and obtained an undertaking that I could give them my maturity instructions over the phone. A year later, just before maturity, I phoned and, after some resistance, Atom took my instructions. I was assured my funds would be paid out on the due date. But they weren’t. When I complained they said they did not have a record of my phone call and, anyway, they do not accept instructions over the phone. So what do you do if a bank refuses to hand back your money? Update: Sent Atom a stern email and they transferred my funds to my bank. Made a formal Complaint, so we'll see. Update: Atom: "can we close the Complaint?" Me: "what are your findings?" Atom: "a colleague didn't fully capture your instructions". Me: "she made a mistake, right?" Atom, "er, yes. We're very sorry". No compensation was offered. I didn't bother asking for any. If I can't get the App to even open, how reliable is this bank with my money

I would desperately like to open a fixer saver except I can't get the App to work on either an iPhone or an iPad. Stuck in a loop telling me to 'Please Wait' or 'Oops that shouldn't have happened'. Customer services just told me to uninstall and reinstall the App - no luck. How safe is my money? Is this a mickey mouse bank? Reviewed on: 1st March 2018
