Even they know they're terrible

When our car was scratched by a van, Aviva took it away for repairs. Some weeks later I discovered that they'd declared it a write-off and sent it to the scrapyard. Over a period of months I had to spend hours phoning and e-mailing Aviva, their agents and the scrapyard before we got our car back (still not repaired). At least one of the many people I had to deal with admitted they'd screwed up and sent us £150 compensation. Reviewed on: 29th September 2017

Good renewal quote

It is time for me to renew my car insurance, and as usual I get a quote from my existing supplier. I always do my shopping, since as today, in my opinion, there is zero differentiation between them; they are commodities. Going always to the cheapest makes sense. However, this time I was impressed to see that my current supplier, Aviva, increased my insurance by an amount that keeps it being the best price... I knew the price would go up, insurance costs have gone up this year, but I was expecting to get hit with a big raise and having to change... It is refreshing to see an insurance firm that does not play the game of "quote a big raise in the renewal, and hope the customer renews blindly"... I was pretty pleased by that! ONLINE TRANSPARANCY AND FEXIBILTY

I REALLY LIKE AVIVA'S WEBSITE WITH THE CAPABALITY TO CHECK OUT THE PREMIUM COSTS INSTANTLY WITH THE POSSIBILITY TO AMEND, ADD OR DEDUCT VARIOUS OPTIONS AVAILABLE, GIVING AN INSTANT PREMIUM QUOTE TO EITHER ACCEPT OR GO BACK AND LOOK AT WHAT THE PREMIUMS WOULD BE WITH CHANGES TO MY REQUIREMENTS. BRILLIANT AS WELL AS BEING VERY COMPETATIVE IN THE MARKET. I AM AWARE THAT SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES PENALISE ONE FOR A SPEEDING OFFENCE WHICH ONLY ATTRACTED THE CHOICE TO GO ON A SPEED AWARENESS COURSE. WHEN CONTACTING AVIVA, THEY ADVISED THERE WOULD BE NO INCREASE OF PREMIUM AS THEY FELT THAT AFTER BEING ON SUCH A COURSE IT CONTRIBUTED TO BEING A BETTER DRIVER. Reviewed on: 25th September 2017

Increase at renewal for no reason

I have been with Aviva for about 3 years and stayed with them because the amount they increased each year was negligible but this year they increased by a lot for no apparent reason so I reluctantly left them.
