Still Waiting For My Late Fathers Money 3 Years Later After His Death !

My Late Father Mr Anthony James Wilcox Died On 5 June 2019 He Had An Investment With Aviva - At The Time Of His Death It Was £6.000 - Me His Daughter & Executor Of My Late Fathers Estate Has Been In Constant Battle With This Shabby Excuse Of A Company For Them To Pay Out His Money - It Is Now March 2022 & Im STILL WAITING Nearly 3 YEARS AFTER HIS DEATH ! I Have Even Hired A Solicitor At The Familys Expense To Get My Late Fathers Money Back But To NO Avail - This Back Street Shabby Excuse Of A Company Has Done NOTHING But Make Excuses Since 2019 - Even Blaming It On Covid ! Where As My FATHER DIED WAY BEFORE COVID BEGAN ! Absolutely Disgusting & All The While They Are Dragging Their Feet In NOT PAYING WHAT IS RIGHTLY OUR FAMILY MONEY My Late Fathers Investment Is LOSING Money ! I Was Always Made To Believe ANYONE WITH HOLDING MONEY THAT IS NOT RIGHTLY THEIRS CONSTITUTES THEFT ! AVOID This Shabby Back Street Company At ALL COSTS - Go To A More REPUTABLE HONEST COMPANY That Pays Out Within Weeks Of A Person DEATH ! & NOT 3 YEARS LATER & STILL WAITING ! Waited nearly 2 months and many deadlines for my Aviva pension and still waiting. 3 missed deadlines for my pension and lump sum to start. Had my money 25+ years and obviously dont want to part with it. Reviewed on: 27th October 2023

I filled in Aviva's online form to have my Royal London pension transfered to Aviva. Royal London wrote to me that they had sent the money to Aviva. I waited for the money to appear in my Aviva pension account. Nothing happened. I used Aviva's online message service to ask what had happened to my money. I got a reply saying it would be sorted by a particular date. I waited. Nothing happened. I sent an email reminding them of their promise, and asking where my money was. I got an automated "we have received your email..." reply. I waited. Nothing happened. I rang them up. I was told that my money was in a holding account because Royal London had not sent an ORIGO form despite numerous requests from Aviva, and it would be illegal for Aviva to put the money in my account. I mentioned the Pensions Ombudsman. The operative asked me to hold the line while she consulted her manager. She said they didn't need more information from Aviva and they would go ahead and put the money in my account, and send me the documentation. The money arrived next day. Poor performance is one thing, but when I notified them of my wish to transfer my fund to a SIPP, zero response to my emails. My SIPP provider has had the same lack of response. Three weeks and counting. Reviewed on: 30th August 2023

Amidst health battles and job loss, Aviva's exceptional assistance, especially from the Customer Retirement Team, truly amazed me. Their prompt handling of payments and regular updates turned a stressful situation into a seamless process. The team's empathy and understanding provided much-needed support during a tough time. 5 weeks later still waiting for them to send penstion transfer forms

Absolutely awful! Wouldn't wish it upon anybody! They're not rude or anything like that - on the contrary, always promise they'll action my request as a priority. Five weeks later, I'm still waiting for the forms to be emailed or posted. I even provided an alternative email address, because they claim my email isn't working. That's not true, as I get all my household bills emailed to me, and I get them regularly. Please don't get involved with AVIVA Pension, if you can help it. Reviewed on: 11th August 2023
