5 star claims service

We had to make a claim after my husband had a heart attack in France. The support we received was A-star. They contacted us everyday, reimbursed our expenses quickly and arranged our repatriation with a doctor. Would highly recommend Reviewed on: 31st August 2026

Avoid Aviva

Cancelled flight and loss of money through airline refusing refund plus loss of 200 quid on a hotel as a result of flight...lost a day of holiday trying to get to our destination and aviva refused to cover cost of loss...no point using them never want to pay...look elsewhere Reviewed on: 22nd August 2026

Had to cancel flight due to wife having operation which meant she was unable to fly, sent consultants letter confirming this, also all relevant flight details, in total had seven emails from them all asking for documents I had sent at start of claim, having spoke to them I eventually had claim accepted after 9 weeks Reviewed on: 10th June 2026

I updated my holiday insurance today,I was contacted by David,surname not known,Scottish accent,he was amazing,very professional,answered all my questions .really helped to sort my Travel Pack,he was very knowledgeable,my wife and I were really impressed with him,he is a valuable asset to Aviva. Extremely poor

They are dealing with Barclays Travel Insurance.

They are dealing with Barclays Travel Insurance.We missed our flight family of 4. We were attending an important function. We had to purchase another tickets, stayed in a hotel which was not planned and costed lots of money. After I have been paying month fee for over 20 years without no claim. They refused to reimburse us. This is a pure rip off. No need for an insurance like this Reviewed on: 10th August 2025

Not fit to Fly injury claim, loss £151.00

Make sure you screenshot and save to your photos all of your holiday booking details. Insurance Policy through Nationwide Flex A/C. Paid £60 extra for our health conditions. Had not fit to fly claim due to fall. Cost £25 for a Drs letter, not claimable. They’ve stopped £100 excess off it. They’re stopping £26 airport duty, (APD) so I’ve just had to send an email to jet2 customer services to claim that back from Birmingham airport, they take 28 days to deal with your emails!! Found out on the internet they charge £25 admin fee, so wasn’t worth claiming. Has taken 3 weeks to sort out, emails with automated replies. . Chased up by telephone, dealt with very helpful man Michael, queried the date I actually booked the holiday on last year. I should be refunded in next 5 to 10 days. Loss £151.00 off the original claim. Ongoing hospital treatment. Reviewed on: 16th June 2025

Don’t waste your money

Has medical travel insurance, went to Spain fractured ankle got told I had to use my ghic (free nhs) and then told to fly back to U.K. arrived in U.K. for treatment to be told that they don’t pay for treatment in U.K. and you can’t fly back what a sham!
