Review of the Bank of Scotland, Cash Account:

Ok online, lousy in person

Online banking is easy enough for those with the facilities and skills, but there are no rural branches open now in our area and in-person banking is impossible for ill or elderly, especially with appalling public transport. Many of us still use cheques, do not use mobiles and have little aptitude with the internet. Reviewed on: 12th January 2022

Really Happy with their current account

I have the Bank of Scotland current account and I really love it. I get 5 pounds per month just for paying in and the people in branch are the friendliest of any bank I have ever been in. Really grateful to have such a nice bank! Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Lovely Customer Service and Great Product Choice

Very highly recommended

My address has changed and the bank were amazing with this, I didn't have a clue what I was doing but they told me not to worry and amended all my direct debits and let all the companies know of my change of address. Very helpful overall, made me stress less. Reviewed on: 11th November 2015

Good simple basic bank account but with some restrictions.

I wanted a basic bank account with debit card facilities to use in conjunction with my main bank account to pay bills and use the debit card online. After searching The Bank of Scotland Cash Account seemed to fit the bill. The account opening was easy and running the account is simple to do with full access to online banking. The account comes with a Visa debit card which can be used in shops and online and you can set up direct debits and standing orders. There are some restrictions with the account such as the fact that there is no overdraft facility and it doesn't come with a cheque book but I think this is expected with a basic bank account. Although you get a proper Visa debit card the account doesn't yet come with a contactless card. Overall this is a good bank account for anyone looking for a no frills basic bank account to help them keep in control of their finances. Reviewed on: 26th August 2015

Absolutely Amazing
