Easy to open an account

I was a UK resident but not citizen recently arrived in the UK. I went to several banks to open an account but found them uninterested and unhelpful, except Barclays. Several years later I am still with them. Reviewed on: 15th February 2016

The only bank you need

I moved to Barclays in 2009, almost a decade ago, and i would never change banks again. They are perfectly positioned within today's digital age. As a full time working mum of 3 my time is limited and visiting an actual branch is something I have done twice in nearly 10 years. This is largely because Barclays make it so easy for you to do everything yourself! From opening a loan and having the cash transferred into your account within seconds; being able to access your Barclayscard via your mobile banking app (allowing for a smooth transition); the pictures next to the transactions so you can easily identify where you have been; hiding that savings account from your view so not to tempt you and many more. I would and have recommended Barclays to anyone that has asked. Barclays will be at the for front of the industry when physical branches become obsolete and I am proud to be a customer. Helpfull
