Benefits for almost nothing

With what my expenditure is each month it has meant I am earning on my account without having to do anything, anything I have had queries on anything I have always had a decent answer, and most importantly, I feel my money is well protected. Anytime I spend somewhere I haven't gone to before I get texts alerting me and asking me to confirm it, and have had the log in process to my account made even more secure. I feel happy with the way Santander is working for me at the present moment in time. Reviewed on: 10th January 2018

Excellent account for savings

Enjoy the interest and cashback. Though it isn't quite as good now with lower interest rate and higher fees, it is still unique product. Reviewed on: 8th January 2018

Good credit interest on current account

I've had an account here for about 10 years and the credit interest rate (although less than before) is still much better than I can get elsewhere on this sum of money. It pays to make these types of account work for you. Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Used to be great but benefits of a 123 current account has gone down hill

I originally switched to Santander 123 current account from HSBC as I had a bit of cash saved up that I needed access to but wasn't going to be spending in one go. When I opened the account, Santander offered 3% interest on savings over £5K and under £20K - slightly higher than the rate of inflation at 2.6%. They quickly dropped the rate though and started offering 1.5% only. Better than nothing, but you do pay to have this account and unless you have a large energy consumption, you are unlikely to make back in cashback what the account costs to have. A clever marketing trick, would not recommend to anyone. Reviewed on: 2nd January 2018

Easy as 123

The 123 account is easy to set up and you can gain interest on a variety of every day direct debits you have on the account and also on the amount you have in your account. One of the better accounts still around now Reviewed on: 1st January 2018
