123 Steps to great savings

I love the Santander 123 account because it offers a very generous interest rate (1.5%) and a few incentives like cash back from paying bills, council tax and other services from your 123 account. You receive interest on your savings upto 20000 and although you have to pay £5 per month to keep your account you make it up from the interest and cash back earned so I would definitely recommend this account to everybody. Cashback and Competitive Intrest

Cash back for paying your bills and competitive interest on a larger sum of money whats not to like. Also if you are a 123 customer you then get more additional benefits. Reviewed on: 10th December 2017

Especially great for students

Having been a santander bank customer for the past 5 years, having a 123 current account has been delightful, especially when I needed a current student account and Santander provided me with the most reliable student account. Value for money is also great as they offer a 4 year student railcard. In branch the cashiers are always friendly and polite, no matter what branch of Santander I visit. Also, when I was having problems updating my address with Santander, I was compensated for their errors and was sent an apology letter. Reviewed on: 4th December 2017

Great customer service

I’ve just switched from 123, purely because of the drop in interest rates. When I was getting 3% on my small savings pot it was perfect for me. The account charge was more than offset by the cash back on my direct debits. They are very responsive to enquiries, speedy satisfactory response always. I only used my local branch to deposit cheques, excellent automated system so no queueing. Online banking works perfectly. I would have happily stayed, but the incentive to move was worth more than a year’s interest now. Reviewed on: 26th November 2017

Great service

It's been a great account and the customer service is good. Apart from the reducing the cashback you get back from 3% to 1.5% due to the Bank of England lowering the interest rate it has been a good account to have. Room for improvement
