By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I used to hate insurance companies. This lot have won my admiration. The app is great, the service is smooth and communication is strong. By miles has reduced the cost of my car insurance.I drive about 6000 miles a year and was increasingly receiving higher quotes every year.I like the fact that I am in control of the cost of my insurance and it has made me think about walking or taking public transport for those short journeys where I would previously have jumped in the car.Better for my health and for the environment.
