By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I was very concerned a few months ago when my previous insurance company sent my renewal documents through without any consideration that for people like me the car is now living in the garage and only fired up for a weekly trip to the supermarket. Whilst Googling for a much better deal I came across By Miles, who, I have to admit, I had never heard of. However, their insurance package seemed ideal for me so I leapt in. I am hardly their best customer as my car continues to be idle most of the time. However, I am very impressed at their product and customer service. This has to be the way forward for car insurance. I stumbled across ByMiles after hours of searching comparison sites with all the usual humdrum insurance companies, offering the same old same old, what a breath of fresh air it was to discover this company, fantastic concept delivered very well, super happy with this innovative company, I would highly recommend. After 50 years of driving & annually seeking out best renewal prices I'm SO glad I've found ByMiles car insurance. SO very simple & SO very easy to arrange. This company is outstanding in every way - method of charging 'by miles driven', excellent website to view ALL details, monthly notifications of miles driven & cost AND not to mention excellent customer service. 1st rate - absolutely brilliant.
