By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Easiest, cheaper car insurance. Full stop.

I have been with By Miles for a little more than a year therefore I have the annual charge and it was £500 cheaper than my previous one [~£1,000 vs ~£500]. I did not drive as much but still I would have paid £1,000 using the normal insurance method. Also the automatic renewal is cheaper, both the annual fixed charge and the charge per mile. Can’t fault the experience so far. Really glad I found out about By Miles when renewing my car insurance - amount of miles I was driving changed quite a lot and policy works great for the variations in miles being driven at the moment. Reviewed on: 11th August 2020
