By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

A refreshing change to traditional insurance

My experience of By Miles insurance has been very positive and it’s worth has been proven during lockdown, with other insurers offering token gestures, I was already benefitting due to the usage based charging. Reviewed on: 30th July 2020

Easy to transfer in and set up tracker. Best part is the rating on exposure business model reflecting policy holder eperience than just a post code and local repair costs. App looks good too, giving total transparency to costs Reviewed on: 30th July 2020

Modern Twist on Car Insurance

Received a tracker which was easily fitted within 60 seconds. Have been trialling it till my policy goes live in a few days time and its great. The App is easy to use, clear to understand. This is a very competitive Car Insurance innovation, especially for low mileage drivers like myself. Even if I managed to drive approximately 4000 miles per year, the overall fixed premium and mileage cost cost is still below the major car insurance competitors. Also the idea that you pay for when you use your car especially came into it's own during Lockdown! Finally, the contacts within By Miles are very friendly and helpful. Well done!
