By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Excellent customer service and insurance prices

By miles has been one of the best car insurance companies I have been with, the online app always keeps me up to date on what mileage I am doing, how much the journey has cost me and I get email and app reminders when a payment will be going out. Customer service is also excellent, whenever i have had queries or it is time to renew the online chat via the app or the contact number, each member of staff had been helpful and always put me at ease. I really like the fact that I pay for the miles I do, which are not a lot, and I always wanted an insurance company like miles. They can see how many miles I do, which most other insurance companies do not and would never accept my estimated annual miles. Brilliant company and they make everything so easy for you.
