By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I have recently passed my driving test and am currently looking for car insurance. What By Miles are setting up is perfect to help young people get on the road at an affordable cost. By Miles' product appeals to me as someone who has been put off from buying a car in large part due to the high cost of insurance. I would only use a car occasionally, maybe 5-6 times a year, to drive out of London, so their product seems perfect for me. Reviewed on: 14th September 2017
