By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

The perfect policy for low-mileage drivers

Having lived overseas, in many different countries, since the age of 25 I returned to the UK recently without any documentary proof of my accident-free driving record. Many insurance companies claim to give low-mileage drivers a better deal but, without being able to verify a clients mileage, it doesn't seem very plausible. A very cool feature of "By Miles" is that at the end of every month they send you a visual map record of every single trip you've made, so its like a monthly travel diary.
