By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

The best 'by miles'

This company is undoubtedly the best insurance company I have ever used, Their clever tech approach to keeping costs down works. I had slight trouble in the beginning working out how to attach the milage tracker, but with a simple phone call (answered immediately by a person) they gave me clear instructions and more time to sort it out. I've not had any other problems since. When my renewal was due, they automatically gave me a cheaper quote, no stupid haggling! Honestly a really really great company. Economic and its breakdown service is helpful

Because a milage tracking device is on my car, the insurance cost is according to the milage that I drove during the past year. I felt that is very fair and economic, My car is hybrid and I was having some starting issue. Their breakdown recovery staff gave me the accurate advice and I could sort it out completely.
