By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

When I lost my no claims due to a hit and run diver, my renewal with my insurance company was sky high, as I only do about five thousand miles a year switching to By Miles saved me nearly £200. I'm into my second year and still a good price. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Reasonably priced and quality insurance

Thankfully not had to claim, so no experience of how good they are supporting with this. Customer service is ok. Takes a while to respond and did not update my details after moving. Had to contact on several occasions for this to happen. Underwritten by good insurance companies. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Amazing and simple

Thought I would try something different for car insurance. As I don't ever do the yearly milage. Found it easy enough to set up and get my car connected. Can use the app to keep up to date with all journeys ( also get a notification of cost of each trip). But what really impressed me was when the renewal came through. They had analysed the data for the year and was aware I'd done less milage, so recalculated the base payment and charge per mile, so it came out a fair bit cheaper!! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Innovative insurance

I realised my mileage covered during the pandemis halved but my insurance cost stayed the same. This seemed unfair so I looked elsewhere for renewal. I chose By Miles becasue I was likely to stay on a relatively low mileage and after comparison By Miles was favourable by miles. The simple innovation of splitting cost to a one off payment and then a mileage rate was cleverly innovative and deserved my attention and my money. I have not regretted my decision. I am very impressed with my car insurance policy, the customer service is great and I think the prices are amazing compared to any other policy I have ever had.
