By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Insurance policy prices are so different from company to company. From low to expensive for the same cover without explanation as to why. By Miles from my point of view is the fairest way for my car insurance and use. Not expensive and fair. I Highly recommend it to anyone who uses their car less frequently as it is priced fairly to the amount of mileage used. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Pay by Mile concept saved me a lot of money over the past 18 months as I have mostly been working from home and not commuting. The customer service has been good when required and the occasional emails with tips and updates are useful. I am a low mileage driver, so the cost of insurance from by miles was welcome as the lowest I could find. I’m sad they don’t cover my import camper van, but I managed to get a good quote for that from a specialist broker. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
