By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

So easy and so cheap

By Miles is so much cheaper than the alternatives for my car, and the fact that it can be even cheaper if I drive less is fantastic. I've saved even more than I thought I would have due to driving less during lockdowns. It's so cheap it's hard to believe you get the same level of cover as the other insurers. This is the muvh needed revolution to the car insurance industry. The pay-by-mile model ensures value for money where the customer only pays when they actually drive their vehicle rather than the traditional fixed price model. With Covid-19 and changes in working pattern where homeworking is prevalent, leading to significantly less usage of the vehicle. It ensures the consumer only pays for actual usage.
