By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Easy and upfront service

I decided to take out a pay-by-mile policy with ByMiles due to overwhelmingly positive reviews online. I have been very satisfied with the service; the equipment I needed to install came promptly (in a delightful pull-to-open recyclable box) and was easy to install. The app was quick to set up and straightforward to work around. By default it will notify you how much you've spent in each journey but this can be amended at your discretion.
