By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I like to be in charge ! Paying by miles gives me the opportunity to save especially when dealing with cancer treatment. A trip to hospital is costing me 57p , I'm grateful for giving drivers this opportunity! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021

Been with By Miles for over a year now and the level of service when speaking the people on Web chat is superb as always resolve any issues. Plus pay per mile is ideal for me as I don't always use my car, so paying for when I drive is amazing rather than a lump sum even if I don't drive the car. 5 star service and will be renewing with By Miles when car insurance is due for renewal. No need for comparison websites ... ever!

I just couldn't believe how car insurance costs have sky rocketed and for low mileage drivers like me, it didn't seem beneficial whether you are a safe driver or a lesser risk driver because you drive off-peak or you do not do long journeys on a regular basis. The insurance quotes were just extortionate and loyalty was just a word, you still get higher premiums year on year and then ... By Miles made its appearance. 1st year was a real test to see what it can do, then got the renewal quote and "boom" a drop in per mile cost along with other benefits for no extra cost. I am no longer looking elsewhere and surely someone somewhere will start to imitate ByMiles but they will have to do a lot of chasing to hit the incredible standards these folks are doing to keep customers happy, contented and unlocked from the clasps of money grabbing car insurers. Modern insurer for the new normal

This is what the future of insurance looks like. By Miles automatically reads my car's odometer daily, and charges me only for the miles I've driven - perfect now that I work from home more often. Also, the daily cap means it's still super competitive when I go on road trips! All backed up by a modern and well executed website and app. Highly recommended! Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
