By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

We bought our car insurance from ByMiles in the beginning of the Covid pandemic and the first national lockdown and I have to say this was most efficient move we had done! ByMiles is an insurance company that gives you the opportunity to adjust your insurance cost in your own control. It is fair, transparent and regularly updates you on the cost and charges they apply. Miles has been great, by only charging you for the miles you do. Which has not only been great during lockdown but also allows you to monitor how much driving you actually do as well as monitoring your car's health. An insurer to stick with

If, like me, you're sick of car insurers sending a renewal price way over what you've just been paying with them, then ByMiles is a refreshing change. My policy went DOWN! As an infrequent driver for most of the year, I've saved literally £100s on my car insurance by switching to ByMiles. Customer service, via the online chat has always been helpful and quick. The one star dropped is due to there being no method to stop the mileage if another driver is using your car under there own policy. Previous year there was, but this has changed. A minor niggle what with the savings made. Hopefully, I'll never need to make a claim, but if I do, I suspect things will be straightforward. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
