By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Perfect product for me

I have a nice car and enjoy driving but living in London with its great public transport infrastructure the car mainly sits on the drive at home. I'm only 6 months in to my first year with By Miles - but judging by the excellent app my policy will end up being cheaper than all competitors - By Miles. I also enjoy looking at my journey record on the app - I can sometimes find ways of bettering Sat-Nav routes on regular journeys. I hope never to have to review the claims service! Great product! By Miles has saved me so much money since I've been with them and I honestly think this is the way insurance should be sold! Every journey I take, I can easily check on the app how much its cost me and even plan ahead and see how it'll cost if I'm going on a longer journey. I started using by miles a few months ago and I must say I'm so happy I made that decision after my renewal date. I'm satisfied I pay what I ride and sometimes if I haven't driven at all because I'm working from home I've saved a lot of money. Why pay insurance when your car sits on the driveway for most of the year? Even when you occasionally travel long distances the cost is capped so it won't cost you the earth. Brilliant. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
