By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Rewarding, fair and great service

The by miles system of charging by the mile has been great for me, it's always tough to have to estimate accurately for the year and frustrating when other companies charge you more in the following year if you are slightly above rather than slightly below your estimate. By miles gives you control over this and it has encouraged me to drive less which helps the planet. They have rewarded my loyalty going in to my second year with a lower by mile rate and their service through the app and on the phone has been excellent. Reviewed on: 10th September 2020

It just makes sense

If you use your car a lot and are on the road more, it makes sense that you pay more insurance as you're statistically more likely to be involved in an accident or incident. The experience of COVID-19 made it even more apparent. Having the basic cover for a car that was been parked on my drive for the majority of time for 4 months was all that was required. Everything from the get go has been hassle and stress free. The process of getting a quote, accepting, paying and even installation of the tracking box have been easy.
