By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Good cover at a fair price and a tracker system that works.

Before joining By Miles I used to have the standard policies with insurance companies. With most motorist travelling many more miles than I did and some driving recklessly, I was concerned I was subsidising too many other drivers. I heard about By Miles, thought they had a fairer way to pay for insurance so I decided to join them. The tracker unit is easy to fit, it has good accuracy, and payments are taken monthly from my bank. I have made notable savings and pleased I joined By Miles. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

With By Miles you only pay for the time you are actually driving, plus a standing charge for when your car is standing still. This makes perfect sense to me and has saved us so much money on our yearly premium. When I didn’t drive because of lockdown I didn’t have any insurance to pay! I signed up and saved a huge amount of money but i referred my parents who were being ripped off by their current provider and also were signed up to a breakdown cover! i signed them up to bymiles! simple to sign up and saved them a crazy £1,200 a year!
