By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Best car insurance for low mileage

By Miles is a great choice if you are only driving a few thousand miles a year. I have halved my previous premium based on my expected 1500 miles driving in the next 12 months. Easy to fit tracker and good mobile app which accurately records all trips. Impressed so far. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

As the owner of an old car and a low mileage owner, I got tired of being ripped off by insurance companies charging me up to 6 times what my car is worth! By miles was amazing! Pay a fraction of those quotes, tracker in place with a great app that gives me very detailed information....highly recommend them, simple & so cost-effective! Thank you!!! By Miles is the way forward as you will only be charged based on how often you drive. It doesn’t get fairer than that! Other companies need to take note! Top marks for an insurance company that rewards you for using your car less! What could be better than paying for what you use rather than presuming what I do! I love the product, the simple explanations, the modern type font and slick design. The app was simple and effortless. I have no need to contact anyone as it’s all worked perfectly. Great insurance provider for low mileage drivers

Took out this insurance as due to COVID, I will be working from home for the foreseeable future and this was by far the best value insurance for me. I like how transparent the pricing is, plus the additional benefit of being able to track the location of my car from a phone is a bonus. Would recommend. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Insurance is very cheap and handy for use around small towns - for anyone who has low mileage. I love the app! Tells you exactly how much is charged per trip and the estimating function is great!
