By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

The way that By Miles does business is fantastic for those of us who want to own a car but simply do not drive it that much. I saved hundreds of pounds on my policy and their customer service has been great. The fact that their free mile counter is also a tracking device (it let me know when the mechanic was out joyriding my car) is fantastic too! Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

This is the only insurance company who deal very honestly and fairly with the consumers. Their customer service is extremely helpful and friendly. This company charges you for how much you drive and not how you drive. So this policy is good for all those people you do not want to pay unnecessary £ to other insurance company. Great car insurance product

This is a great product. After paying a small basic fee for the insurance I only pay additional amounts for any journey I do. This has kept the overall cost for me very low. They keep me updated monthly on charges. In fact I get a message every time I take a journey telling me the cost of that journey. Great low mileage cover

Normally I switch insurers every year to get a new customer discount, but that stopped when I found By The Miles. As my mileage is under 1,000 a year I save a fortune & have great cover / low excess.
