By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Comprehensive Insurance

If you are an occasional user of your car and don't travel long distances on a regular basis, I think By Miles is for you. I was able to cut my insurance down by half what I was paying and with that I got one of the most comprehensive Insurances that I have seen. I recently renewed and the base cost was just slightly above what I paid last year, this compared to other insurers was still significantly cheaper. Support also have been excellent whenever I have needed to contact them. Overall I have had a very. good experience. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

the app is really easy to use all the information is there in an easy to read format - how much you owe, your jouneys and how much each one cost, the fact it can also check to see what is wrong with your car is great and find it in the car park! The pricing also makes you think twice about how many journeys you take making it a great environmental choice. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Great for low mileage drivers!

So much better cheapest by far it’s great only have to pay under a tenner a month for insurance even with the upfront cost it’s brilliant for people like me who don’t drive many miles a year it’s definitely worth it and they customer service is always very prompt they are always easy to get in touch with excellent all round! My experience with By Miles has been the worst on record. To put this in context I have been driving for over 30 years. Everything seems great with By Miles until you have a not at fault collision. I had an independent witness. I have written in several times and I have still not received a response. I was informed by a By Miles representation "Faith" insurers often take 50/50 fault route as it is the easiest thing to do. How is this fair? Why have By Miles not got back to me? It took over 6 weeks for the car to be taken in for repairs and for a courtesy car to be provided in the midst of this pandemic - at times forced onto public transport as we were left without a car. To make matters worse my car was sent back three times for repair as it arrived back with paint chipping. By Miles should not be a finalist for the Insurance Choice Award because I doubt my experience is isolated. Reviewed on: 9th September 2020

Simple and straightforward

I was looking for car insurance that worked for me. Never heard of By Miles until they popped up on a search. Was perfect. I work close to home but need my car. So was a win win laying for what I use as some days I don't use the car at all only for social activities. And the app is amazing. Shows me where I have been and how much it cost. It's so straightforward and a good way of paying for those that don't travel very far but do a lot of little trips. I recommend this to anyone who is like me a local busy bee. Best car insurance ever

Great customer service and always available. If you have a small annual mileage like I do this is the insurance to have. I also have peace of mind knowing that when I am not using the car it is fully covered but not wasting money unlike traditional insurance cover. This is the future of motor insurance. I would and have recommended Bymiles on more than a few occasions, the amount of money I have saved is unbelievable and especially throughout lock-down. The added benefit is that when you do recommend a friend you get £50 in credit which saves you even more. Will continue to use forever! Reviewed on: 9th September 2020
