About this product

The Chase saver account can be opened with any amount and can have a maximum balance of £1m.

The account has a variable interest rate and you can make withdrawals whenever you like. There are no fees or charges and you can open up to ten Chase saver accounts with each one earning interest.

Changing

If I had of done this a year ago or two years ago when I first signed up for Chase, everything would have been voted excellent, 5/5. However, like most big companies they draw you in with great deals and a better level of service than the other providers and then once they start to gain traction and market share the slip back in line with their competitors. That's what Chase have done. The level of interest and AER below the base rate was so much better than what I had been getting from HSBC and Lloyds, but in the past 18 months Chase have updated their T&Cs three times by my count, so that they are increasingly further away from offering a savings level near the base rate and much more comparable to other UK banks. I know the reasons they do it, but it has meant I've stopped recommending them to people for a savings account alone. Reviewed on: 6th February 2025

The Chase app is intuitive and easy to use. Their savings account is awesome, the introductory rate has been a great way to save and their current account with no FX fees and cash back, is handy when you travel. All around great experience. Reviewed on: 18th April 2025
