Whenever I've needed to discuss/amend my policy - and through the one time I was involved in a car accident that was not my fault - the team at Churchill have always been a pleasure to deal with. I've always valued how they've quickly resolved whatever the situation is, and always spoken to me on a personable, friendly level. Plus, their renewal policies have always been price competitive. I will always recommend Churchill to friends and family!

Honoured my 9 years PONC when transferring to them, then only gave me 1 year PONC to me insurer after that. Evidently they were trying to lock me in. They said that somewhere there was wording that made it an 'introductory PONC mirroring discount'. I have gone elsewhere and am very angry that they effectively took my money (I didn't make any claims) and threw away many years of PONC. Stay away!

Churchill are appalling - don't touch them! I had car insurance with them 11 March 2018-11 March 2019. I contacted them in good time (13th February 2019 - spoke to Diane) and stated categorically that I wouldn't be renewing with them. I received an auto-renewal letter on 15th March (4 days after renewal date) and rang again. Spoke to Kirsty who assured me she had accessed my details and that she had absolutely ensured that the policy had been cancelled and ABSOLUTELY Churchill would not take my money. Just checked my bank account and today - 19th March and guess what - they've extracted £204.96 - 8 days after my policy with them expired. And this amount bears no relation to anything mentioned in their letters. Fortunately I have just enough in my account not to be overdrawn, but if I hadn't I could be in big trouble as I live on a very tight budget. I expect to spend a very frustrating morning tomorrow trying to get my money back from these robbers. Nothing they tell you on the phone is true. I shall warn all my friends not to touch them.

They're charging me almost £70 to cancel my policy. I have been with them years, loyally renewed, never had a discount, never made a claim. They have had hundreds from me and this is how you get treated when you're forced to cancel because of their rip off outrageous prices they think they can get away with from people who loyally renew. Disgusting. Their customer advisors couldn't care less. They just parrot the company line. Will never use again. Will let everyone know how they treat customers

I bought a new car and tried to add it to my policy (5 months remaining) and it was going to cost me £85 to change the car.

It cost me £53 to cancel my policy! Absolutely ridiculous, but it was still cheaper to cancel and go with another insurance company who were a lot cheaper.

They do not want to retain their customers at all, and appear to just want to turnover a quick buck!

Absolutely shocking and dishonest. Will take money from you any which way they can.

I am paying £59.00 for third party fire and theft and minimal breakdown cover. Just happened to check today and with exact same details on Churchill’s website, I was quoted £43 for fully comp with better breakdown cover! Could be paying that lower rate with loads of other insurance company.

Having spoken to Churchill about it they are conveniently ‘unable to match the price mid-term’. ‘Admin fees’ to leave Churchill are so expensive that I’m stuck with this awful policy. Bleeding current customers dry while trying to lure in new ones.

Avoid avoid avoid!

We were with Churchill for a few years, with regards to our Car Insurance. They are a reliable company, but when it came to renew, we were always initially quoted a lot higher price. After contacting them and querying their quote, they found us a much better quote, (usually about £150 cheaper) within about 5 minutes. When contacting them by telephone, we were always waiting for approx 10 minutes, for our call to be answered.
