Always Friendly & Helpful

The Clydesdale Bank, despite recently annoying me greatly by shutting my 3 most used Branches, is a great Bank to be with. Staff in Branch; Online; and with Telephone Banking, are always very polite and helpful and the Bank seems to consider my individual needs instead of just treating me like a number. I also find it very helpful that if one of my accounts goes over my allowed overdraft, the Bank sends me a text which allows me several hours to rectify the situation so that I don't incur charges.

The Clydesdale Bank, despite recently annoying me greatly by shutting my 3 most used Branches, is a great Bank to be with. Staff in Branch; Online; and with Telephone Banking, are always very polite and helpful and the Bank seems to consider my individual needs instead of just treating me like a number. Hold your money by continually locking account

Mobile and internet banking will accept fund but when you come to draw out it's another matter. Mobile app is blocked, internet banking blocked. Continual phone calls with promises that the money is being transferred as we speak.. NOT SO!!!! LOCKED...

Clydesdale 24/7 online banking is a lie. All it does is to hold the transactions then the online banking will process the transaction when it suits the bank. I have transactions sit in the holding tank for 3 days and there is no processing. They have been advertising that the new online system is an improved and smart system, in Computing Software term it is a fancy looking front system without the real substance like a real time automatic banking processing. Come on Clydesdale Computing Dept, employ some able computing programmers and analysts to produce some real computing software which deliveries what you claim, you all a bunch of crooks!
Avoid banking with Clydesdale bank, they close branches without giving customers a real online banking system. I have been banking with Clydesdale for 35 years. Thinking that I could cope with all these branches closing as long as the online banking is efficient. But NO, the online banking is rubbish, useless and does not even look smart.
So, ADVOID Clydesdale bank.

Wanted to set up a business account and transfer my current account for my existing provider. They had appointments on a Saturday where other banks didn’t, and the appointment was friend and efficient. Business Account set up immediately, personal account transfer went without a hitch and the after-care service ever since has been excellent. Wish I had switched to them years ago.

Just opened a business account today at the George Street branch in Edinburgh. The only bank so far that could offer me a face to face meeting for opening a business account on a Saturday. They were fiiendly, welcoming and efficient. Also transfered my current account to them. I am optimistic I will get a great service and am looking forward to banking with them.

Recently changed jobs and after receiving first pay in bank they froze my account furnace to the payment from the new company being paid in euros. I have worked all over the world an been paid in multiple currencies and never had an issue. was told that I need to tell the bank who I’m working for , where my pay is coming from and for how much each month. This is bull ! And not stated in the t&c’s I was left stranded in west Africa without access to my bank ! left for days without a penny. Service centre refused to let me talk with anyone in the relative department as the do not “discuss investigations” with the customer.
I am disgusted by the way Clydesdale have treated me and feel alienated.
in the process of finding a different bank due to the lack of professionalism and pure disregard for serious issues.
was not given a time frame on when it would be resolved , simply told that I have to wait until their investigation has been completed.
Stay away from Clydesdale bank at all costs ! horrible customer service and lack of knowledge.

I had serious issues switching to the Clydesdale bank. A small problem with my current account switch became a major headache due to hour-long holds on the phone, calls being dropped and being given numbers with long wait-times to call the switching team back on.

I made a formal complaint and was dealt with personally and professionally. My experience with the complaints department led me to choose to continue my switch to the Clydesdale Bank in spite of a poor experience earlier. If only all their departments could work this way!
