I LOVE this card and app.

I save HUNDREDS of pounds a year using Curve. From great FX rate, fee-free ATM machines, to my cashback on companies I choose to use. I love it. Wherever I travel, I only need one card. Even though I've been "stuck" abroad for over a year, this card, this app and this company have NEVER let me down. My card was hacked! I was in another country. Oh my God, what am I gonna do....??¿???¿ No worries. Got on the app, froze the card INSTANTLY to ensure nothing else was vulnerable. For onto a live chat, told them my problems, not an issue. Old card cancelled instantly, all outstanding transactions checked, and resolved. New card issued. .oh, hang on, I've had a similar thing before, with a back whose name is an acronym of BTS. I was abroad then too, due to be away for at least another month. Could they help me? Could they send it to my address in Spain? No. No. Of course not what was I thinking???? The was not geared up for customer assistance. It was geared up for ease of use by the bank staff. So, my card would be waiting for me when I got home..... But how I was going to get home and how I could eat until then??? not their problems, apparently. With CURVE however, I explained I wasn't going to be back in the UK for a while, but that I really would need the card. "No problem, where would you like me to send it?" Then I asked, "How much are you going to charge to send it here, to Spain?" Hold onto your hats. "Nothing. All part of the service" On top of all of this, my Curve Metal Card included insurance to cover me, and a range of other benefits too. I now have 3 Fintech accounts and an "old" style one. I'm happy to pay for 2 of them, 1 is free and 1 of them I pay through gritted teeth. Guess which? Reviewed on: 31st March 2021

I pay £10 a month for a service with no customer support. They have blocked my card but don't reply to any complaints or offer any support to provide what I've paid for. Avoid at all costs. Reviewed on: 18th September 2025

Terrible.

Terrible. Firstly a few months ago they approved 4 payments to some AI subscription scam without asking me to authorise the payment. They paid it back to me, but still! Then recently they asked me to authorise a payment to my car insurance provider which I did in the app and they still rejected the payment. This resulted in a £20 failed payment surcharge which Curve refused to refund me. I’m done. Bunch of cowboys and can’t trust them to handle my transactions any more. Cancelled my card and account. Dissapointing

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with Curve. • I tried to downgrade my subscription before renewal, but the app would not let me. Despite clearly stating I did not wish to continue, they still charged my card £179. • Their customer service is terrible – messages take days (if they reply at all), and urgent issues are ignored. • The Curve card itself is unreliable. I couldn’t even use it for TfL for months until I replaced it with another card. I always have to carry a backup card just in case Curve fails. • The lounge access benefit is misleading – you still have to pay, so it’s worthless. Overall, Curve has been more of a headache than a help. The service is unreliable, support is poor, and the advertised “benefits” don’t justify the cost. I definitely would not recommend, and I am moving away from Curve entirely. Reviewed on: 10th September 2025

Customer Service is a joke!

Customer Service is a joke! What customer service? I need to reset my password due to fraudulant activity, and I get a constant error message... Messaged CS on Facebook and on their chat but nothing comes back. Where banking is concerned you should be able to talk or correspond with out delay! AVOID THIS SERVICE Reviewed on: 29th August 2025

Curve continues to be the most useful app (& card, but mostly app tbh) I have. Leaving aside the multiple cards on a single card convenience, the go back in time feature that lets you change how you paid is extremely useful. Reviewed on: 13th June 2025

Love this product. PayPal anywhere? Yes please!

I absolutely love this product. Being able to use PayPal anywhere is a game changer for me. I also get discounted vouchers through work, so the choice used to be, spread the cost over PayPal but miss out on the discount. Now I purchase the vouchers using Curve, redirect that to PayPal to get the best of both worlds! Reviewed on: 12th June 2025
