The online application was very easy

The online application was very easy and the website actually worked first time. Reviewed on: 16th April 2025

I got the ISA I requested

I got the ISA set up as expected. Also I got a phone call/voice mail to call so I did but got to a person not at the Darlington office who provided me the details I requested. However this did not get passed on to the Darlington as they still called me. Reviewed on: 16th April 2025

Loyal customer

I’ve been a customer with DBS for many years. They sold me my first mortgage in 1975. The staff have always been more than helpful. They allowed me to pay interest only for a short time when I needed support due to my marriage breakdown in the 1980’s. This helped me to keep my home (I had two young children) The staff whom I’ve met many of over the years are always helpful and supportive when I need information about the products. I currently have an ISA as well as a 45 day notice account. I’m very happy that I took my late Father’s advice when I started saving for a Mortgage at 18 years old. Dad couldn’t recommend the DBS highly enough. He wasn’t wrong. Reviewed on: 16th April 2025

I had several regular saver accounts in the past.

I had several regular saver accounts in the past. The interst rates were good. However they continued to reduce them far faster than the base rate was going down. This in my view was unfair and made them uncompetitive compared with many bank and building society accounts. I have closed most of them down and only have one left with a token deposit in it.
