The best on the high street

Always a warm welcome in branch and helpful staff. Savings accounts have solid rates comparable to other high street banks and building societies. Great provision for young savers. Earn more with The Darlington

While larger building societies are cutting their rates as soon as a BOE Base rate cut has been announced, Darlington has given their Savers an opportunity to consistently earn a better rate from their portfolio and open to all. Cashiers are the best!

Cashiers always give an update on alternative accounts which could be more beneficial to me. They always provide a chair as I have difficulty standing. General review of accounts

Appointment with DBS lady in separate office and she had to go back into main office to update pass book, close accounts etc which therefore took longer time than 1 hour appointment. Reviewed on: 28th March 2026
