I requested a notice of interest paid for complete my tax return. The figure were given to me verbally over the phone but the staff were unable to post out documentary evidence. This was annoying. Reviewed on: 4th March 2026

Darlington: a good all-rounder!

First of all, I'm a big fan of the mutual ownership model of building societies. Within the building society sector, Darlington often provides attractive savings rates & account t+c's. In the past, I've had an ISA, and currently I have a regular saver with them. Their online portal has good safety features. Reviewed on: 1st March 2026

Great service

Obviously savings rates could be better. Always great customer service both in branch and via Telephone. Would definitely recommend. Really easy to set up new accounts and easy access to Money. Really easy to manage accounts in branch and via Internet Reviewed on: 1st March 2026
