Totally avoid

Send you replacements that are faulty keep needing call out. Tumble dryer had 8 call outs in 2 years. Fridge is nackered and washing machine goes faulty take weeks to sort out Reviewed on: 17th November 2023

Worst company ever!!!!!!!

If you love your sanity and mental health run away from D&g insurances. It is the worst company ever. Customer service is appalling. All they do is lie and lie. Communication is the worst I have experienced in my life time. Booked engineer visit two months ago. Either the engineer is sick or absolutely no contact to advice either way. You call them and their customer service is shocking. They all just lie and lie through their teeth. Flee from d&g if you love your life!!!! Reviewed on: 19th December 2023

Dreadful service

I’ve just had the worst service I have ever experienced with this company. Too stressed and distressed this evening after multiple phone calls, hanging on for hours waiting to be answered and then being cut off and going to the back of the queue. Nobody took ownership of the failure to sort out our problem - they just could not care less! In the midst of me pointing out how bad the service was they tried to sell me more policies for other machines! Don’t go anywhere near this company if you value your hard earned money and your sanity! Reviewed on: 11th December 2023

Do not bother insurance good the service procedure and effort to get sorted a nightmare

Worse customer experience ever and I have worked in call centres myself. Rather than go into detail after various repairs saying fixed over a few months, the damage was done to my floor as leaked, and have had to claim in insurance, sent a new upgraded one on 27th of Nov and broke 28th of November, Called 2nd December engineer came 9th said need new one, Told to call number I have now been on the phone 2 hrs sent to 7 people 4 department cut off 2 times. Hoover said not them to speak to Domestic and General they said not them to speak to hoover. I must stress this is the 3rd replacement I have had in 2 years. I am canceling the insurance as soon as this mess is sorted out. The amount of hours I have been on the phone this last few weeks is in excess of 4hr and it would be cheaper to just get a new fridge in the hours an money spent on calls Reviewed on: 8th December 2023

Appalling Company

Appalling Service Washing machine broke 04/11, fobbed off over 2 service calls for it to be eventually wrote off on 04/12, told be in contact next day, nothing, no email, no call!!! they are never late taking their direct debit payment or chasing for renewals or constantly calling me to purchase more policies, no customer service, broken promises, inferior company Reviewed on: 6th December 2023

Not really worth it

I paid for 5 years, first call to them, they could not get engineer to view it for 3 weeks, then would not tell me how long before parts are ordered and another engineer scheduled , it may take another 3 to 4 weeks. In that time if I saved the premiums I could have bought a washer dryer and had it installed at a quarter of the money I paid D&G, will now definitely cancel my policies as soon as it's fixed. HOrrible scamming company avoid like plague

What a horrible company this has become. All my appliances have been on their policy for the last 10 years and when one of the appliance broke down then I could see their horrible service. Wish there was an option for negative stars. Its more than one and half months and I am being kicked from one customer service to another with no sign of repair. Dreadful

Don’t waste your time and money. Can’t get anyone on the phone literally takes up the whole day and they still cut you off and transfer you on hold then lose you. Appliances that I’ve been paying for are now not on the policy and not covered. Engineers take weeks to organise. Not worth the bother! Reviewed on: 6th November 2023

Worst company I ever dealt with

Worst service I've ever received in my life. I followed instructions to send my iPhone for repair. The repair company used by D&G want the phone removed from the iCloud to repair a cracked screen. Because it can't be removed, D&G are refusing to repair or replace the phone. In 5 weeks I still don't have my phone back and I will be left with a broken phone and a warranty I'm still paying for. Was told to take it up with the financial ombudsman. Before you accept a warranty with a retailer, be sure it's not D&G, you will be throwing your money away Reviewed on: 11th October 2023
