Local office is a boon

Easy to deal with

Hands down the worst company (yes, not just banks) I’ve ever dealt with. 14 weeks later and I’m still waiting for a decision on a mortgage application. Second house I’ve now lost due to their slow response and incompetence. Charging high fees and providing this level of service is practically fraud. Will be reporting to FCA. I’m thousands of pounds down and have nothing to show for it. Avoid at all costs. I’m Reviewed on: 11th June 2025

What an effort to open an account

Firstly which queue?? transactions or admin.I was told to go to transactions then given a form to complete myself .I completed the form on a corner table & returned to the counter to then be advised that they were unable to complete & that the book would be posted as they were so busy!My frustration was the fact that there was nobody else in the branch & whilst I was completing my form the staff had time to talk about their weekend antics .In the background I heard a gentleman talking about the fact there would be more complaints from customers about something.My husband had rushed from work so had made a special effort to go into the branch to sort this account that day so I wasn’t happy how we were treated.I did however insist that this be done there & then so the staff member in the admin section reluctantly agreed to complete it as the other member of staff now only did transactions. This used to be such a happy place to visit & customer service was always the best so I really don’t know what has happened!The Dudley always had such high standards.If this is the way forward then I feel sorry for people who struggle with form filling etc as the Dudley used to be the place where one could always rely on help & excellent customer service.
