Years of excellent service

I found the Ecology Building Society over twenty years ago when looking for an ethical place to save money. Not only have they looked after and invested our money wisely in amazing projects, our association with them has led to exciting projects for our family. When they built their straw bale meeting room, the society invited members to help, and it was such a rewarding and memorable experience. Their newsletters are full of interesting and heartwarming information, and every interaction with the staff has been helpful and polite. (Even their AGM's are interesting!!) I can't fault them! Great ethical building society

I have been a member now for many years having left and joined numerous other bank and building society accounts along the way. The Ecology has consistantly offerred a good rate of interest, whilst also supporting the vaues I agree with. They still seem to operate in a friendly and approachable way. I love them. Ethical and friendly.

I have saved with the Ecology Building Society for more than 25 years and I shall continue to do so. It is always a pleasure to receive their newsletter because unlike other financial institutions I have dealt with, I enjoy reading about the projects they support, all of which are ethically based and seem to me to make the world a much better place. I have found them very helpful and the savings interest rates in the contexts of others of a similar nature have always been very good. Principled ethical and friendly

A building society whose values are rooted in backing sustainability in terms of the property they invest in through their loans and have excellent service for their customers. The AGM’s are informative educational and fun. This is a model omission for all banks and building societies. Hire to serve and prosper and take care of people and our planet. Competitive, ethical and friendly banking

I opened a savings account with Ecology Building Society after reading that they had been scored the most ethical bank in the UK. They may be a small building society, but their interest rates are surprisingly competitive, which is why I subsequently opened a high interest monthly savings account with them. They are constantly improving their tech, and their website is very easy to use. On top of this, their customer service is second to none, and I've never once had a bad experience with them. Ecology invest savings into providing mortgages and loans for people building eco-friendly homes, or retrofitting their existing property with energy-saving measures. I'm pleased that my savings are being put to good use, and I look forward to other members helping me to achieve my eco home ambitions some day in the near future. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Regular Savings Account

I like this account because it usually pays a competitive interest rate and continues indefinitely. Also Ecology BS supplies a helpful annual statement which gives me the figures I need for my tax return each year. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Personal service and fair interest rates
