An ethical savings society

I chose the Ecology Building Society because of its stated ethics - green, fair and progressive. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Competitive, ethical and friendly banking

I opened a savings account with Ecology Building Society after reading that they had been scored the most ethical bank in the UK. They may be a small building society, but their interest rates are surprisingly competitive, which is why I subsequently opened a high interest monthly savings account with them. They are constantly improving their tech, and their website is very easy to use. On top of this, their customer service is second to none, and I've never once had a bad experience with them. Ecology invest savings into providing mortgages and loans for people building eco-friendly homes, or retrofitting their existing property with energy-saving measures. I'm pleased that my savings are being put to good use, and I look forward to other members helping me to achieve my eco home ambitions some day in the near future. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Regular Savings Account

I like this account because it usually pays a competitive interest rate and continues indefinitely. Also Ecology BS supplies a helpful annual statement which gives me the figures I need for my tax return each year. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Personal service and fair interest rates

I've had an ISA with ecology Building society for many years and have always found their service and advice very good. It's great to receive newsletters on the type of investments they are supporting. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Ethical AND great service

I have had a 90 day notice savings account with Ecology for a number of years and the interest rates have been good, the service personal and efficient and I have no complaints whatsoever. Well maybe one- that I am not allowed to invest more money with them in my chosen savings account! Reviewed on: 12th March 2021
