Ethical, and so Supportive !

I love saving with a building society that does specific, practical things for the environment, and for housing (both so badly needed). Ethical - no investments in bombs or fossil fuels! The people who work for it are lovely! When I ring up to ask questions, I always get patient, friendly help and clear answers. Sure, the interest rate offered is modest - but this is outweighed by the peace of mind Ecology Building Society offers its customers. Reviewed on: 10th November 2024

The EBS is fantastic

I have been a member of the EBS for over 30 years they are the pioneers in ethical banking and lending for a range of small community, self-build and rural businesses that would otherwise have no access to ethical ways to save, or get loans or mortgages. They deserve some recognition for this outstanding service they have provided for decades. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Helpful, efficient and trustworthy.

Helpful and efficient from the enrolling papers through to day to day running of the account. As a busy person, running the account voluntarily on behalf of a charity, it is so good to know the company can be trusted to "get on with things" without needing constant interaction, yet are there to answer questions quickly and efficiently when the need arises. Long time saver

Been saving with the EBS since mid 1980s. Had one mortgage with them. Set up a saving plan for my grandsons with them too. Excellent service. When you ring, you always get to speak to a person straight away. They’re always really helpful, clear and transparent. So delighted a BS exists whose ethical stance I can feel confident in. Great ethics

Why would The Ecology Bank not win?

After a long time searching I don't think there is a bank comparable The Ecology Bank in terms of social responsibility. Their forward-looking, sustainable investment policy and support for eco builds is unique I believe. Even though I'm not making use of that product I'd prefer to put my son's savings in a bank thsts genuinely considering his future in the practice. Reviewed on: 12th March 2021

Quality service with comfort of environmental support
