Do not be deflected by the fact that first direct is attached to HSBC - a very secure, honest and reliable bank - and their offshoot is of equal stature. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026

Whenever I’ve needed to speak to first direct by phone, they have been so incredibly helpful. They even have recognition so there’s no complicated codes or answers to remember and they really do everything they can to help. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026
