Great current account with excellent customer service. Telephone banking is easy to access and the operators are feiendly and helpful. Internet banking is easy to use. Their banking app is intuitive to use and offers all the functionaloty I need for day to day banking. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2024

I went to First Direct to switch banks as Santander...

I went to First Direct to switch banks as Santander were giving no interest and a recent failing by them was dealt with very badly and insufficient feedback with a customer advisor was appalling. I must admit FD initially said I hadn’t fulfilled the switch criteria but after being passed to a complaint advisor they said absolutely no problem they were happy to give the switch fee and it was there in my account within an hour. Very happy with the way the advisor dealt with the issue and everything was done with DD’s and standing orders with no issues at all Reviewed on: 1st August 2024

Generally good but.........

Smoothly switched to First Direct over a year ago. Generally very good service. However, there seems to be a a slight slowdown when answering phone calls. Also, their Insights service which analyses spending is seriously short of functionality. My approaches about this have been ignored. Reviewed on: 29th July 2024

Awful experience

Awful experience, moved across for the switch. Card took ages to arrive, ages to switch and now I’m told we don’t even get the incentive. Wish we had never moved our accounts across. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2024

MONEY TRANSFER SCAM

I was trying to transfer £900 to my landlord today using FIRST DIRECT'S mobile app but when everything was ready, on the confirmation page the amount was changed from £900 to £200, and the name of the payee was different!!! I almost clicked confirm and noticed the difference and stopped. When I went through the same process again, this time it was ok on the confirmation page. I had to transfer the money on FD website using the PC because I am afraid now to do it using their app. I chatted with FD agent and she said it happens sometimes but gave me no explanation!!! I've been using various bank apps but never experienced anything like that! Reviewed on: 29th May 2024
