Simple but effective

Awful experience

Awful experience, moved across for the switch. Card took ages to arrive, ages to switch and now I’m told we don’t even get the incentive. Wish we had never moved our accounts across. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2024

MONEY TRANSFER SCAM

I was trying to transfer £900 to my landlord today using FIRST DIRECT'S mobile app but when everything was ready, on the confirmation page the amount was changed from £900 to £200, and the name of the payee was different!!! I almost clicked confirm and noticed the difference and stopped. When I went through the same process again, this time it was ok on the confirmation page. I had to transfer the money on FD website using the PC because I am afraid now to do it using their app. I chatted with FD agent and she said it happens sometimes but gave me no explanation!!! Great Bank poor Web access.

very good phone staff, app is great, but the app doesn't let you auto pay off your credit card you have to type in a "pay new business" payee but doesn't tell you what ref to put in very annoying need to contact fd..... why if i signed up for a credit card via its app can't i transfer funds from one account to the credit card.
