Shady change of terms and conditions re share lending

1
Facilitates shorting and rewrites terms and conditions to shaft their customers. Poundshop Robinhood. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

The only online share trading app I trust

5
Good user experience, low cost and an ever increasing selection of shares Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

Was good in 2020

1
Been using Freetrade since October 2020 but they’ve rapidly gone downhill. Issues such as; limited selection of assets, fees on dividends, card deposit has a really low cap, forced share lending, inability to transfer securities out and constant notifications about rewards and referrals. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

Free is never free

1
A recent update to the terms of service with Freetrade allows the company to basically lend any shares I purchase through them in a general account to third parties for a fee that they receive. Any fee they receive is kept by Freetrade and in their words allows them to offer free trading. Having my shares lent out to third parties is really not in my best interest as it allows third parties to manipulate (short) the price off the stock I chose to invest in in the hopes off said stock rising in value. Personally I would avoid Freetrade, there are much better brokers out there, Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

Share lending

1
The very fact that this company lends the shares from it's customers is criminal. Not only does this fly in the face of all that "Freetrade" should be but it also makes you realise that this company is against you as it will be lending the shares out to those willing to take the opposite bet. They are my shares, bought and paid for. DRS is the way! PS. if these awards are genuine and want to be respected going forward then it ought to bear in mind what side of history it chooses. Restricted purchasing of Gamestop Class A Stock

1
Participated in market manipulation by restricting the purchase of Gamestop Class A- a.k.a 'close only' positions. Not trustworthy. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

The new Robbinghood

1
Forced new terms to allow my long shares to get shorted into oblivion. No thanks. Bye. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

Down hill very quickly

1
Freetrade are moving in the wrong direction for their target audience, and are not listening to their customers. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

I discovered Freetrade a few months ago and am obsessed!! it’s made me excited about investing and learning more about the stock market. 100% recommend to all my friends. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022

Misleading marketing and inability to transfer

1
freetrades marketing is misleading. Does not mention the inability to transfer us stocks out like other brokers using the save us company. They also now lend out customer shares which affect the price without providing margin accounts and sharing the money from lending. Terrible excuse for a broker, stay away Reviewed on: 23rd March 2022
