I paid £199.19 for the insurance to commence from 11.05.24. However, I decided to scrap the car and so cancelled my insurance from 19.11.24. This meant I had used 6 months of my one year policy and I still had a few days sort of a 6 month policy remaining! I was reimbursed a mere £30.02!! They tried to more nearly triple my premium (on a much safer car) so I cancelled and have been stung for just over £100 total in order to cancel it. Even though it's in the 14 day cooling off period (Required by law) they are refusing to refund. Not only that but after checking my bank afterwards they have charged me twice for it all! I have worked in insurance for 15 years and Geoffrey insurance are easily worst company i have ever dealt with. Taken 5 payments from account... Taken 5 payments from account in 2 banking days, they have no idea why, they have hung up on me twice trying to contact them, have left me witch charges for failed Direct Debits from other companies because they took money when they shouldnt have. Sent 2 emails with no reply, you then fill the complaint form on there website, when you submit the form it goes to page not found. Avoid this company at all costs, they have no clue what they are doing or how to fix it when they have made a mistake.
