With a Glasgow Credit Union savings account, members can save regularly between £10 and £1000 each month across accounts. Withdrawals are via BACS transfer and can be requested in app, online or by phone.

Excellent Service

I applied for a loan and within a days or so I was informed of the decision that I was successful in my application. While paying off my loan I was saving as well, so with my savings I was able to pay my loan off earlier and now I'm back to just saving. Reviewed on: 9th July 2020

Been a member since its inception

Had a number of loans over the years and have managed all my savings through the Credit Union. Interest was always much superior to any bank. All of my family have accounts including the kids Reviewed on: 9th July 2020

Service is second to none!

Efficiently do what they say

Very clear about what they offer. Consistently deliver on this. Good communication to members. Good for community including their assistance to a variety of charities. Better than the banks

It is so easy to withdraw funds online staff are all friendly and dhelpful if any further information needed .Good to know that my savings are well looked after and profits not going to bankers.. Reviewed on: 9th July 2020

The GCU succeeds in being both community and personally friendly and focussed while also professional and financially astute - all of which are precisely the values I look for (and rarely find!) in financial services. Cares for Glasgows Community

Great for saving for holidays, home improvements etc. Can use your savings against a loan with very low interest at affordable repayment terms which can be deducted from your salary if you are a Glasgow City Council Employee and your savings are still there at the end of the term of the loan.
