Be aware of this company

I unfortunately had an accident on the 2nd July, put in a cancellation claim on the 7th July. A simple claim, no medical bills just a claim for refund of holiday. The process is ridiculous, they say 15 days for pay out, this is not true. You can not speak to your handler, if more information is needed you go back to the beginning of the process, the handler who asks for information, from what I gather does not continue with your claim. I have now raised a complaint and have asked for my handler Laura to contact me. I can imagine I will never get that phone call. I will be escalating this complaint quickly and with in 30 days if there is no contact I shall be taking it to the financial ombudsman to try and claim back my holiday. I was advised not to travel due to my emergency operation on broken wrist incase of infection and complications that may arise. I had a metal plate that inserted, for the fist 3 weeks there is a higher risk of infection and also compartment syndrome. The form that I received for my doctor to fill in was the smallest form they had ever seen and unclear. I was charged a fee for this, I contacted the insurance to make sure it was the correct form and they said yes. Not sure if it is as they do not contact you at all and leave you not knowing what is going on. You go onto the claim portal and it just says processing. No other information, just nothing. I now believe that like many on here I will be down £2800 as they do not seem to pay out. All the good reviews are just from people who have not had to put a claim in, so the star rating is not giving a true reflection of what this insurance truly is not even a 1 star rating. My claim is a simple claim, I feel sorry for anyone who finds themselves on holiday and having to claim medical emergency, they have no chance with this company. I will not go with these again and will pay the extra to go with someone that actually pays out Reviewed on: 19th August 2025
